Can't Sleep...

I woke up this morning at like 5:30 thinking about a lot of things...
1. Nico is turning 1 TOMORROW
2. I have to finish packing because we are moving to North Platte
3. I'm anxious to go back to Utah and finish planning Nico's birthday party
4. AND I still dislike BYU football very much :)(sorry byu lovers, nothing against you)

**

We found yesterday that we are going to North Platte today. I wasn't too excited because I really like Kearney and also, I ordered a birthday cake for Nico and had a place picked out to go eat. Oh well, everything happens for a reason. I can't believe that tomorrow Nico will be one. How come time goes by so fast?

I wish he'd stay this little for a bit longer. He is so much fun and such a busy boy! I'm so excited for his birthday party in Utah. I want it to be big and really fun. He only turns one once...
Of course byu had to play the day of his birthday party...and of course it has been a problem. I just didn't grow up watching them, I don't get the game, it's boring, and it's just not my thing. Maybe if Nico ever plays football I'll get into it more but for now...I rather do something else :) Lots of people have said this is the biggest game of the season, but if you ask my husband every game is the biggest game of the season...so I'm not buying that anymore. It's just a game...

Yesterday was a fun day...for the most part. We found out that Jerica and her family (our hotel neighbors) were going home. It's sad that it's almost over, I just wish the girls would leave when we leave :) We sure miss our neighbors!

(can you guess which one is Jerica?) :)
Nico is soo scared of their little dog

Isn't he so cute?

After saying goodbye to them, Ellesse and I took our kids to the park! Nebraska probably has the coolest parks!
Best buds
They are leaving us sunday...I'm pretty sad about it! I love hanging out with Ellesse, especially because Nico and Noah get a long great. Who will I have long chats with? The good thing is that we are all going on a cruise together and they are coming to provo in October, so we'll get to see them again!

What a fun day! Wish I would have gone to this park more. Can't wait to see what North Platte has to offer!
HAPPY FRIDAY!

August...bittersweet month

We are getting ready to head back to Utah in two weeks from today. I would say going back home but Grandpa John told me that home is were my husband and son are, so Nebraska is home right now. I look back at our summer and all the experiences we've had and I really think I'm going to miss all this. The only thing that I will not miss is the extra pounds I've gained in the last week...I'm just having the hardest time getting up early to go to the gym and also, it's about that time of the month so I'm just craving lots of sweets, blah! I need to stop! ok, I will get back on track on Monday :)
Last sunday we packed up all of our stuff and moved to Kearney. Say hello to our new home....

This is such a nice hotel! We walked in our room on Sunday and were so amazed by our HUGE bed! I hated the bed in our last hotel. I had to sleep with socks on! I know, I'm so weird! I don't like it when beds don't have sheets that really stay on, I don't like the feeling of mattresses. But this bed is heavenly!

The maids are awesome too! I need to take a picture of those ladies so you can meet them! This hotel has great breakfast too, a really bad thing for me because I HAVE to be doing Isagenix!
I really like this town, people are a lot nicer and happier!

I need to back up and post pictures of the things we did in Norfolk.

Nico's imitating a sound I make with my mouth...so cute!

**

One of the nights we went bowling with the office, it was really fun! Nico, of course, was crazy about the huge bowling balls!

HE IS THE BEST AND CUTEST BOY EVER! :)

**

Bananas are his favorite!

**

We had some company at the water park this time, it was really fun!

This is Nico's gf, Brighty. He loves to share his chucho with her. Thanks for coming with us girls!

Some more fun pics...

Our boy is turning 1 on Saturday. I am very happy and excited for him, but yet sad that he is growing up so fast! This is a bittersweet month. I can still remember when I held him for the first time :)

UPDATES!

Welcome back! (that goes to me!) I haven't blogged in sooo long! I'm not very good at it, but David insisted that I should do it more often, especially because Nico is growing so fast and he wants me to record the good memories. I want to do that too, but I'm not a very good writer and I really have to be in the mood to do it. So, here I am today. I have been inspired by other blogs and a mormon message video that I watched today.
A week and two days ago we moved from Grand Island to Norfolk, NE. Which is two hours north. The awesome thing is that we're 45 min away from COLUMBUS, where my favorite water park is! Last week Nico and I spent some good quality time there. Oh, how I love that place. :) We also have a TARGET here. That means this is a nicer town :)

This is our new home till Sunday. It's probably the grossest hotel we've been in. Everyday Nico ends up with black hands, knees and feet from the dirty carpet. I have the cleaning ladies vacuum every day so it's not so gross :) I miss the other nicer hotels and the maids I became friends with. But it's ok, we are happy here and always excited for new experiences.

Nico got really sick a week and a half ago so we decided to take him to the doctor last tuesday.

Poor little guy, he ended having ear infections in both ears! I felt so bad because I had gotten mad at him the day before, he just kept crying and crying. Then I realized that I hadn't read my scriptures or said prayer. I have so much more patience and am so much more happy when those things are done. Lesson learned.
Here are Nico's stats:
Weights 21 lbs 8 oz
Height 30 3/4 in.
He is just getting so big! It kind of makes me sad but at the same time I love how everyday he does something new to makes us laugh.

Since he weighs over 20 lbs and is almost one I decided to turn his car seat around. Saturday was our third time driving to columbus (45 min there and back) I thought it was time, that way I didn't feel so lonely. It worked so well, he just talked to me the whole time! He was so happy that he was able to see out the window, so so so cute!

We love this boy to pieces!

Here he is saying "chau" (means bye in spanish) but he says "Tau," oh and giving me kisses!

On Monday he gave his first steps!

He is pretty much running here!

We also went to do some laundry on Monday while it was raining like crazy!

Laundromats are not my favorite but this one isn't too bad. It's not busy at all, so that's nice.

I love this video! Nico knows that he can't bite my face (however, he'll bite my bum, my thighs and my ankly) but when he does it to David and he laughs, I"m sure he's thinking that it's ok to bite daddy. haha! it's sooo cute! Every night when David gets home Nico gets so excited! The minute David knocks on the door Nico knows exactly who it is! We probably should stop laughing at his bitting, but we can't help it! :)
Nico is helping me to blog by hiding behind the computer. He just wants to be a part of everything! Can't get enough of this boy!

We are leaving Norfolk on Sunday and we might be going to either Kearney or Lexington. I'm a little bit sad because we will be far away from Columbus and it doesn't look like there are water parks in those towns. I'm sure we will find something else to do.
Kisses,
Fifi
